Privacy, plainly stated

This site collects as little as possible. Here is the complete picture — written to be read, not to protect us from being read.

Project inquiries

When you submit the Start a Project form, we receive the information you typed: your name, email, organization, and your description of the problem, plus any optional fields you filled in. We use it for exactly one purpose: evaluating and responding to your inquiry. Submissions are delivered to us by email and stored securely; they are not sold, shared with third parties for marketing, or added to any mailing list. If you would like an inquiry deleted, email us at hello@dataknife.io and we will remove it.

Analytics

If analytics are enabled, we use a privacy-conscious, cookie-free analytics service to understand aggregate site usage — page views, referral sources, and interactions with major buttons. This data is anonymous and aggregated. We do not use advertising trackers, fingerprinting, or cross-site tracking of any kind, and this site sets no marketing cookies.

Email

If you contact us, we will use your email address to reply. That is all. We do not currently operate a newsletter; if we add one, it will be opt-in.

Third-party services

Inquiry notifications are delivered via a transactional email provider, which processes the content of your submission solely to deliver it to us. No other third party receives your information.

Your rights

You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Write to hello@dataknife.io.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. We will not quietly expand what we collect.
